Gemma Versteeg

Gemma has been a member of D.A.D.S. for over 10 years.  She has been on the committee for 4 of those years.

She has played roles from Michelle in ‘Allo ‘Allo to Tom in Dick Whittington.  After starting to learn to tap dance for stepping out, Gemma has continued her tap lessons and enjoys a bit of time stepping.

In her personal life, Dusnfoldians probably know her as the old shop manager. Gemma and her family moved from Dunsfold in 2019, but she still enjoys treading the boards with D.A.D.S. and has even helped direct.  The most recent pantomime performance saw Gemma directing the youngsters and helping choreograph the dancing, and Gemma then turned her hand to directing for the 2023 production of Surprise! Surprise!

In her spare time Gemma is very involved in the local dance school VMA, teaching their musical theatre students.

Both her children have also performed in D.A.D.S. events, with her son Finn playing the mischievous Puck in the summer play a Midsummers night dream and her daughter Halle performing in Dick Whittington in 2022.  She is just waiting for D.A.D.S. to do The Wizard of OZ so her dog Oli can appear as Toto.  Her husband Luke has also helped behind the bar at events, showing how much of a family affair D.A.D.S. is.
