Mary Anne fell into the AmDram sphere some years ago, starting out in Chiddingfold acting the part of a bossy, annoying woman on stage. When you have found what you are good at, stick to it… so here she is, years later, still bossy, still annoying.
She loves being part of a team and has had a lot of fun onstage, with one foray into directing. But the stage is where she is happy. Who wants to be themselves all the time? Her favourite part was the Vicar of Dibley. Dawn French is a definite role model.
In her ‘normal life’ Mary Anne is happily retired from a variety of careers, including a long time as a single mother, and has lived in Dunsfold since 1989.
