Tracey moved to the village in March 2021 and went along to the auditions for Agatha Crusty and the Pantomime Murders with a view to helping out backstage – she got offered initially the part of Emily, then she was ‘upgraded’ to the role of Gloria.
Having decided that being onstage was more ‘her’ than being backstage, Tracey auditioned and got the part of Dim Rat for the 2022 production of Dick Whittingdon – and perfected the ‘Dim’ voice which she sometimes will still lapse into today…and to her delight was given the lead role as Jess in the 2023 production of Surprise! Surprise! She also directed the 2025 production of Murder on Cue.
When not treading the boards, Tracey owns and runs Travel Butlers, a safari holiday travel business with her husband, Paul, and also enjoys travelling not only to Africa but to other countries – a firm favourite being her 2026 trip to California where she achieved her ‘bucket list’ wish of seeing the Hollywood sign! She also volunteers for the Dunsfold Amphibian Rescue Team to help save our local frogs, toads and newts from road traffic and falling into storm drains.
